The Wesley School of Nursing Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship is open to the undergraduate students who are citizens of the United States and are at the same time residents of Kansas. In order to qualify for this scholarship program, the candidate must attend or at least plan to attend the Wesley School of Nursing in the state of Kansas.
Among the other qualifications for the Wesley School of Nursing Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship is that the student must have a grade point average of no less than 3.0, and that he or she must have either a parent, grandparent or other relative who is an alumni of the Wesleyan School of Nursing. This scholarship program is awarded by the Kansas Nurses Foundation and the amount of scholarship award that is offered by this scholarship program is worth $5,000 which is non- renewable.
Two recipients are selected by the Wesley School of Nursing Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship each year. Students who have the necessary requirements may access the application from the Kansas Nurses Foundation website. Aside from the filled up application form, the candidate is required to submit other supporting documents as well such as transcript of records, a narrative statement that reveals the applicant’s future role in nursing in Kansas. Another document that is needed for submission to this scholarship program are three confidential letters of recommendation.
All applications together with the other supporting documents must be submitted on or before the deadline set by this scholarship program so those who are interested must be updated regarding the date of submission.
