The Connecticut Community Foundation provides the scholarship award for the program called Waterbury Women’s Club Fund whose objective is to offer a scholarship award to the most deserving senior high school students who are citizens of the United States. In order to be considered eligible for the Waterbury Women’s Club Fund, the candidate must be a resident of any of the following Connecticut counties such as Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Bridgeworth, Cheshire, Goshen, Litchfield, Middlebury, Morris, Naugatuck, New Milford, Oxford, Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Thomaston, Warren, Washington, Watertown or Wolcott.
Part of the qualification for the Waterbury Women’s Club Fund is that the student must pursue a degree in nursing. The Connecticut Community Foundation provides the amount from $1,000 up to $2,000 which is non- renewable. In order to for the application to be valid, the potential candidate must submit all the necessary requirements that are asked by the Waterbury Women’s Club Fund such as the applicant’s transcript of records, a letter of recommendation as well as an essay.
