A scholarship grant known as Washington State Health Professional Loan Repayment Program was established by the Washington State Legislature in 1990. This scholarship program was founded to encourage and at the same time inspire the licensed primary care health professionals to stay in their profession and be of service in areas of the Washington State that are in serious shortage of health care professionals.
Washington State Health Professional Loan Repayment Program offers financial support in two ways. One is by giving assistance through conditional scholarship, while the other way is through loan repayment. As part of its loan repayment program, this scholarship grant allots loan payment support to licensed primary care health professionals.
This scholarship program is good for two years and part of its requirements in order to be an eligible candidate for Washington State Health Professional Loan Repayment Program scholarship is that the applicant needs to be a resident of Washington. Submission of application for scholarship in this scholarship award may be made on or before its given deadline which is set on April 30.
This kind of scholarship program is certainly most beneficial because more than encouraging licensed primary care health professionals to stay in their profession and be of service in the underserved areas of the Washington State, the concern with regards to the shortage of health care professionals is addressed as well.
If only there will be more scholarship grants such as this one, then the concern about lack of medical practitioners will be resolved as well.
