Virginia’s Nurse Practitioner/ Nurse Midwife Scholarship Program

Like any other scholarship grants, Virginia’s Nurse Practitioner/ Nurse Midwife Scholarship Program has its own set of specific requirements that a candidate must fulfill in order to be considered qualified to make an application. Part of the requirement is that the candidate must be a resident of Virginia for a minimum time of 1 year. Another requirement is that he or she must be a full time student and is enrolled in a program such as: nurse practitioner or nurse midwifery also in the state of Virginia. After the recipient completes his or education, Virginia’s Nurse Practitioner/ Nurse Midwife Scholarship Program requires its awardee to work full time in a medically underserved area that is assigned by the program for a certain number of years that is equivalent to the number of scholarships that they received yearly. The employment of the recipient must start in the period of two years after the date of graduation.
