The Grand Rapids Community Foundation is the one responsible for giving the scholarship award for the program called Violet Wondergem Health Science Scholarship whose objective is to give financial aid to the students who are having financial difficulties thus making them unable to complete their studies. For a student to be considered qualified for the Violet Wondergem Health Science Scholarship, the student must be a resident of either Kent or Ottowa counties in the state of Michigan.
Part of the qualification for this scholarship program is that the potential candidate must pursue any medical field at any college or university within the state of Michigan. The candidate must also have a grade point average with a minimum of 3.0. The scholarship award provided by the Grand Rapids Community Foundation is from $500 up to $5,000 which depends on the recipient’s financial need as well as the program’s availability of funds. In an average though, this scholarship program provides the amount of $1,000 which is non- renewable.
Other supporting documents are required by the Violet Wondergem Health Science Scholarship as well such as transcript of records and an essay that discusses the applicant’s personal and professional objectives. Other documents that need to be submitted to the scholarship program are the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Student Aid Report (SAR).
All applications together with the other necessary documents must be submitted to the Violet Wondergem Health Science Scholarship on or before the given deadline set by this scholarship program.
