The University of Alabama (UAB) School of Nursing Scholarships first began in Tuscaloosa in 1950, but was moved in 1967 to Birmingham. Like any other scholarship programs, this scholarship grant was designed to offer financial support to the students of nursing who does not have enough financial resources to fund their education.
The UAB or the University of Alabama School of Nursing employs an effective and at the same time developing approach in educating nurse leaders as well clinical scholars. Aside from this, the university also focuses on conducting research and offers service. The University Of Alabama School Of Nursing Scholarships has so far provided 47 scholarships both for the undergraduate and the graduate students.
The amount of financial assistance that this scholarship program provides to its recipients varies, and it also has some very specific requirements before a student can be considered as qualified for its scholarship.
