Ernest and Deon Ferell Scholarship was established to offer financial support to the senior high school students who are citizens of the United States and are in need of financial aid so they can continue their studies and land on a degree later on. The potential candidate must be enrolled at the University of North Florida, and he or she must have also graduated from the Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, Florida.
This scholarship program gives a priority to the students who are taking up pre- med or any health related field. The UNF R. Ernest and Deon Ferell Scholarship is awarded by the University of North Florida and the amount of scholarship award that this program extends to its recipients is worth $2,000 which is renewable for a maximum of three years. Candidates who possess the necessary qualifications and are eligible to apply for this scholarship program may access the application from the University of North Florida (UNF) website.
Every applicant only needs to submit one application, and which will automatically be considered for every scholarship where the candidate is qualified. Aside from the completed application, UNF R. Ernest and Deon Ferell Scholarship also requires other supporting documents as well such as the applicant’s resume, letter of recommendation and also a one page personal statement that discusses the applicant’s thoughts regarding the topics found in the application.
For the application to be considered valid, the candidate is also required to first file for a FAFSA or Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
