The United Negro College Fund is responsible for giving the scholarship award for the UNCF North/ Central Florida Scholarship Program. This particular scholarship grant is open to the minority students who are residents of any of the following counties in the state of Florida such as Orange, Lake, Osceola or Seminole. In order to qualify for the UNCF North/ Central Florida Scholarship Program, the candidate needs to fulfill all the necessary requirements specified by the program.
Among the qualifications required is that the student must either be presently enrolled or at least planning to enroll at a two or four year college or university, and that he or she must have a grade point average of no less than 2.5. The UNCF North/ Central Florida Scholarship Program offers the amount of $5,000 which is non- renewable, and minority students who possess the necessary qualifications and are eligible to apply for this scholarship program may access the application from the website of the United Negro College Fund.
Apart from the completed application, potential candidates are required to submit other supporting documents as well to make their application valid. Some of the documents that the student needs to provide are a copy of his or her transcript, contact information for his or her two recommenders and a biography of the applicant that has a minimum of 400 words. Applicants are also required to file for Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
All applications along with the other requirements must be submitted on or before the given deadline.
