The United Nurses Associations of California/ Union of Health Care Professionals provides the award for the UNAC/ UHCP Delima Mac Donald Community Scholarship Program whose objective is to offer financial assistance to the students who are in need of financial aid so they can continue with their studies. This scholarship program is open to both the students who are citizens of the United States as well as the foreign students who are studying in an accredited school within Southern California.
For the student to be considered for the UNAC/ UHCP Delima Mac Donald Community Scholarship Program, he or she must be enrolled or at least planning to in a health care professional program. Recipients of this scholarship program are provide the amount of $2,000 which is also non- renewable. This scholarship grant selects ten recipients each year which then gives a lot of chances to so many students with financial concerns.
As in any other scholarship programs, the UNAC/ UHCP Delima Mac Donald Community Scholarship Program has other specific requirements that the potential candidate must fulfill to be considered qualified for this scholarship grant, and also part of the requirement aside from the completed application that the candidate needs to submit is an essay with a maximum of 250 words which reveals the applicant’s thoughts on the topic “Why I Want to Become a Health Care Professional?”, and another essay also with a maximum of 250 words that discusses the applicant’s answer to the question “What the Labor Movement has Meant to Me and My Family?”
