The Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives was founded to offer scholarship awards to the students of nursing who are in need of financial assistance to pursue their education in this particular field. Like any other scholarship programs, the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives has its set of requirements as well. Part of the qualification for this scholarship award is that the candidate must be enrolled in an approved program in nursing whether as MSN, DNP or PhD.
For the student to be eligible for this scholarship program, he or she needs to have a grade point average of no less than 3.0, and that he or she needs to at least have a remaining one semester left before graduation from APRN preparatory or doctoral program. The Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives also requires its candidates to be an active member of KCNPNM, and that he or she must be a resident of Kentucky or at least enrolled in a Kentucky Program.
Candidates who possess all the necessary qualifications must be prepared with all the required supporting documents and the completed application form on or before the deadline set by The Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives which is on March 22. Recipients are chosen based on the following credentials such as academic excellence, professional involvement, financial need as well as recommendation and the candidate’s professional and personal aspirations. Another needed requirement is a short essay. The candidate must have all these requirements to get a chance on this scholarship.
