Specialized Training Assistance Program

The Specialized Training Assistance Program is available to diploma nurses or those who are pursuing an associate degree in nursing from a program that must be recognized by the NLN or National League of Nursing or CCNE which stands for Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. This scholarship program was founded by the US Army Reserve Health Care Team.

The Specialized Training Assistance Program is also open to those who are presently taking up a recognized BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) program or a Master’s of Science in Nursing under Critical Care or Nurse Anesthesia. Aside from its financial assistance on tuition and other fees, this scholarship program provides a monthly allowance that amounts to $1,600 to its lucky recipients as well.

In exchange for the financial aid, the Specialized Training Assistance Program requires the recipients to commit to a two year service in the Army Reserve. This obligation is a way of paying back for the financial assistance that the Specialized Training Assistance Program provided for the recipients.

If a recipient gets luckier, he or she may receive an additional bonus as well which is about $50,000 while in the process of repaying his or her loan. The Specialized Training Assistance Program offers up to $5,000 of financial assistance.

Aside from the already mentioned requirements of this scholarship program, the potential candidate must be a resident of the state of Oregon as well. In order to take part of this wonderful opportunity, nursing students must make an effort to obtain the necessary requirements.
