The Snipes- Meyer- Vorhies Nursing Scholarship Fund was founded by the Hawaii Community Foundation to give financial assistance to the students of nursing who have concerns with their financial resources, and which hinders them from finishing their studies. In order to qualify for the Snipes- Meyer- Vorhies Nursing Scholarship Fund, the potential candidate must be able to possess the necessary requirements that are imposed by this scholarship program.
Among the requirements for this scholarship grant is that the candidate needs to be enrolled as a students who is majoring in nursing at Maui Community College. Students who are in the Associate Science in Nursing (ASN) or the Certificate of Achievement Program (CA) are given a priority. Another requirement that Snipes- Meyer- Vorhies Nursing Scholarship Fund requires is that the candidate needs to submit a personal statement that contains his or her present involvement in community service as well as the candidate’s future plans with his or her involvement in community service.
The Snipes- Meyer- Vorhies Nursing Scholarship Fund also gives a priority to those who have Hawaiian ancestry and at the same time, the candidate also needs to be a resident of Hawaii. Part of the requirement in order to qualify for this scholarship award is that the candidate needs to have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. This scholarship grant offers $3,000 worth of financial assistance.
The deadline for the submission of application for the Snipes- Meyer- Vorhies Nursing Scholarship Fund is on March 1. Those who are interested to apply for this scholarship must submit their application before its deadline.
