The Connecticut Community Foundation offers the scholarship award for the Sirop Family Fund whose objective is to provide financial help to the senior high school students who are citizens of the United States. This scholarship program is open to the senior high school students who are residents of any of the following cities in Connecticut such as Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Cheshire, Goshen, Litchfield, Middlebury, Morris, Naugatuck, New Milford, Oxford, Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Thomaston, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott and Woodbury.
Part of the requirement for the Sirop Family Fund is that the candidate needs to pursue nursing. Students who are selected to become recipients for this scholarship program can expect to get the amount from $1,000 to $2,000 which is non- renewable. Once selected, the recipient is also required to maintain a grade point average of no less than C+. The number of awards for this scholarship program varies.
Students who are interested to take part of this wonderful privilege may access the application from the Connecticut Community Foundation website, and aside from the completed application, potential candidates are required to submit other supporting documents as well such as the applicant’s transcript of records, letter of recommendation as well as an essay that discusses the candidate’s answers to the topics found in the application.
