A teacher to student educational program is being provided by the Sigma Xi Grants-in-Aid for Research that benefits both graduate and undergraduate students with better educational techniques for the past 8 decades. A more personal approach in teaching these students is what this study program is giving to their enrolled students since it makes their students work directly with their professors.
The program doles out grants that amount to about one-thousand U.S. dollars that include courses in engineering and sciences. The National Academy of Sciences on the other hand doles out grants with monetary values as high as two-thousand U.S. dollars for research programs regarding vision and astronomy. These amounts are being used by the students to fund their trips to research facilities and to spend on unofficial laboratory apparatus and gadgets needed to have a successful research.
Non-members of Sigma Xi are all welcome to apply for these research grants, however, about ¾’s of the total amount for grants are made available to Sigma Xi members who have been paying their dues or to students whose head for the research project is also a paying member. These research grants are available to students from any part of the world.
The deadline for spring application is on March 15th and for fall in October 15th every year.
