A scholarship program called Service League Scholarships for Graduate Education in Nursing was initiated by the Akron General Medical Center. Like in any other scholarship grants, this scholarship program has its own sets of specific qualifications as well in order to be eligible to make an application.
The Service League Scholarships for Graduate Education in Nursing requires its candidates to have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and must definitely have the need for financial aid. Another requirement for this scholarship program is that the candidate must be a graduate of a high school in the state of Ohio, or if not, he or she must be an employee of the Akron General Medical Center. This scholarship award is open as well to the sons, daughters or spouses of the employees of the Akron General Medical Center. Also part of the requirement is that the candidate must be a resident of Ohio.
March 1 is the deadline for the submission of applications for the Service League Scholarships for Graduate Education in Nursing so candidates who possess the necessary qualifications and are eligible to apply for this scholarship program may submit their application on or before its given deadline.
Having so many scholarship programs available to the deserving students of nursing is most certainly good news because this way, more students will be inspired to pursue nursing so therefore there is a hope that the concern with regards to the shortage of nurses will also be alleviated, and at the same time hopefully have better nurses too.
