The Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) provides the scholarship award for the Patrick and Judith Mc Hugh Scholarship. This scholarship program aims to give financial assistance to the graduate students who are residents of Vermont and are intending to pursue a degree in any health care field such as dentistry, nursing, medicine, pharmacy, psychiatry, psychology among many others.
As in any other scholarship grants, the Patrick and Judith Mc Hugh Scholarship has set the necessary qualifications for this particular program that the candidates need to possess in order to gain eligibility. One of the requirements required by this scholarship program is that he or she must have a grade point average of no less than 3.5.
The Patrick and Judith Mc Hugh Scholarship offers the amount of $1,000 to its recipients. The award for this program is non- renewable. Graduate students of Vermont who are intending to seek a health care related program and are eligible to apply for this scholarship program may get the application form from the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) website.
Apart from the completed application, other supporting documents are required to be submitted as well such as letter of recommendation, transcript of records and an essay that is personally written by the applicant. Candidates are also required to file for Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
