The Past National President Frances Booth Medical Scholarship was intended to offer financial support to both the undergraduate as well as the graduate students who are residents of Maine. This scholarship program is open to these students who are either enrolled or at least planning to in a two or four year medical related program. As part of its requirements, the Past National President Frances Booth Medical Scholarship requires the applicant to be a member of the Veterans of Foreign War or Ladies Auxiliary of Maine, or the candidate may also be a son, daughter, granddaughter, grandson, foster child or step child of a present or a past member, or also of a deceased who was in good standing at the time of death.
This scholarship program is awarded by Veterans of Foreign Wars/ Ladies Auxiliary of Maine, and the recipient can expect to receive the amount of $1,000 which is non- renewable. The Past National President Frances Booth Medical Scholarship also needs to have the applicant’s list of extracurricular activities, honors or awards, work experience, recommendation from the school principal or counselor as well as a short statement about why the candidate has chosen a medical profession. The applicant also needs to submit a verification of the auxiliary member under which the candidate is applying.
