The Olive Ramsey Memorial Scholarship Fund (District 46) was established by the Florida Nurses Foundation (FNF). The aim of this scholarship program is to encourage nursing as well as the delivery of health care by utilizing the most up to date research, education and practice. The Olive Ramsey Memorial Scholarship Fund (District 46) is given every year to the registered nurses and also to the students who are in need of a scholarship support. This scholarship program is also given to the students who are needing help in funding their research grants.
Olive Ramsey Memorial Scholarship Fund (District 46) first started in 1983, and gave out its first grants in the year 1986. This was held during the FNF (Florida Nurses Foundation) Convention. Through the years, this scholarship grant has progressed and to this time has made other achievements such as making contributions to give assistance to the nursing education and research, and at the same time give support to the nurses who needs help.
This scholarship program is available to the students who are residents of Pinellas and Pasco Counties. Part of the requirement for this scholarship grant is that the candidate must be maintaining a certain GPA such that for the undergraduate students, the GPA must be 2.5 or higher; and for the graduate students, they must be able to have a grade of 3.2or higher.
