The Nursing Teacher Stipend Program- Master’s was founded specifically for the Nurses in Mississippi who are intending to have a master’s degree at an accredited school of nursing within the state of Mississippi. In order to be considered for this scholarship program, the hopeful candidate needs to attain the necessary requirements set by this scholarship grant, and one of the requirements for this program is that the applicant must agree to teach in an accredited school of nursing within the state of Mississippi right after graduation.
Also part of the qualifications for the Nursing teacher Stipend Program- Master’s is that the candidate must have a grade point average of no less than 3.0. This scholarship program is awarded by the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid, and the recipient can expect to receive the amount of $1,000. Once chosen as a recipient, the student is still required to continuously maintain eligibility such as being a full time student and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Application for the Nursing Teacher Stipend Program- Master’s is available from the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid website. Apart from the completed application, the candidate also has to submit other supporting documents such as a signed copy of the first two pages of state tax return for the present tax filing year, a copy of the applicant’s driver’s license in Mississippi as well as a letter of acceptance from the school where he or she is enrolled. Another document that is required is a letter of recommendation from the director or dean which mentions the applicant’s intention to be employed after graduation.
