The Sinclair School of Nursing at the University of Missouri created a scholarship grant named as the Nursing Alumni Organization Endowed Scholarship Fund. This scholarship program has an objective to give financial assistance to the students of nursing who lacks the financial means to continue and to complete his or her degree in nursing.
The Nursing Alumni Organization Endowed Scholarship Fund is available to 1 undergraduate student, as well as to 1 MA and 1 PhD student, and is given every year to the most deserving recipient. There is a condition set though for the undergraduate student, and that is he or she is required to have reached at least the 6th semester.
The financial assistance that this scholarship program provides to the fortunate recipients is between $500 up to $1,000. In addition to its other given requirements, the Nursing Alumni Organization Endowed Scholarship Fund is that the candidate must be able to maintain a grade of 3.0 or higher.
Interested and eligible applicants must give their application on or before its actual deadline which is on March 1. It is definitely great news that this scholarship award is given every year to give more chance to the nursing students whether those in the undergraduate or the graduate program and are in need of financial aid. Now more students are given much inspiration and hope to pursue a degree in nursing and eventually be of service to other people and provide medical assistance especially in areas where there is shortage of medical practitioners.
