The New York State September 11 Scholarship was created to help the rescue workers who wishes to go to school to complete their education and get an undergraduate nursing degree. This scholarship program requires its candidates to be members of a national or state professional EMT, police officer or firefighter association.

Also among the requirements of the New York State September 11 Scholarship is that the potential candidate must have a grade of 3.0 or higher in order to qualify for this scholarship program.
