New Leader Scholarship

The New Leader Scholarship is a program that aims to provide financial assistance to the students who are in need of financial support. This scholarship grant is open to the junior and senior students who are studying in any of the following universities such as California State University, East Bay, San Francisco State University, San Jose State University, Sonoma State University or University of California, Berkeley.

In order to qualify for the New Leader Scholarship, the candidate must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, and that he or she must major in any of the following fields such as social sciences, human services, public service or any other field that is related to health. The Goldman Family Fund provides the scholarship award for this scholarship program, and the amount of award that it extends to its recipients is up to $7,000 which is renewable for a maximum of three years provided that the recipient is able to maintain the eligibility requirements, and that he or she must still display the need for financial assistance.

Students who are qualified to make an application to the New Leader Scholarship program may access the application from the website of Goldman Family Fund. Apart from the completed application, other supporting documents are also needed to be submitted such as transcript of records, two letters of recommendation and an essay with a maximum of 700 words that answers the topics that are found in the application.

Those who are interested to apply must submit all the documents on or before the deadline.
