The Kansas Nurses Foundation (KNF) initiated a scholarship program called Morgan- Sanders Endowed Scholarship whose objective is to provide financial assistance to the citizens the United States who are Registered Nurses and are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. This scholarship program is open as well to the graduate students who are enrolled in a nursing education as well nursing administration or adult education programs.
The priority that Morgan- Sanders Endowed Scholarship gives is for the students in their master’s level, then second is for those who are in their doctoral level. This scholarship grant is also open to the undergraduate students who are enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, as well as the undergraduate students who are in their ADN program.
Part of the qualification for the Morgan- Sanders Endowed Scholarship is that the candidate must be a resident of Kansas, and that he or she has a grade of 3.0 or higher. The amount that this scholarship program offers is worth $500. Recipients for this program are chosen every year and the award is non- renewable.
Interested applicants may access the application for Morgan- Sanders Endowed Scholarship at the Kansas Nurses Foundation website. Apart from the completed application, this scholarship grant also requires other supporting documents such as the candidate’s transcript of record, as well as an essay which indicates the candidate’s anticipated role in nursing after graduation. Other documents needed are the letter of acceptance from the school stating that he or she has been accepted into the program and a letter of recommendation.
