The Minority Nurse Magazine Scholarship Program was founded to offer financial assistance to students who are having financial difficulties. This scholarship program is open to the students who are citizens of the United States and are at least in their third year of either undergraduate or graduate nursing program. In order to be qualified for the Minority Nurse Magazine Scholarship Program, the candidate is required to be a member of a racial or ethnic minority group, and that he or she must have a grade point average of no less than 3.0.
This scholarship program is awarded by the Minority Nurse Magazine, and three recipients are chosen each year by this scholarship grant. Students who are qualified to make an application to the Minority Nurse Magazine Scholarship Program may obtain the application form from the website of the Minority Nurse Magazine. Aside from the completed application, this scholarship program requires other supporting documents as well such as transcript of records, a letter of recommendation coming from one member of the faculty, as well as a written statement that must have about 250 words that discusses the candidate’s academic and personal achievements, his or her involvement in community service and most important of all, the essay must also contain about the candidate’s goals for his or her nursing career in the future.
