The National Black Nurses Association or NBNA, Inc. has successfully established a scholarship fund that is aimed at helping out students who are undergoing financial difficulties. The name of the scholarship fund is the Martha A. Dawson Genesis Scholarship. All student applicants must be a student in any of the following nursing courses; Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Diploma course, Licensed Practical Nurse course, Licensed Vocational Nurse course or an Associate Degree in Nursing course. The student applicant must show good scholastic records upon the submission of application. A requirement for this scholarship award is that the student applicant must be a member of the National Black Nurses Association or any of its’ affiliate organizations. The student applicant must have one school year left in her course at the very least. Lastly, the student applicant must be a member of the African-American race.
The monetary value of the scholarship fund is 2,000 US dollars and the deadline for the submission of applications is on the 15 of April.
