The National Black Nurses Association or NBNA,Inc. has successfully established a scholarship fund that is aimed at helping out nursing students who are experiencing financial difficulties. The scholarship fund is called the Margaret Pemberton Scholarship fund. The student applicant has to be enlisted in a nursing course under the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, an Associate Degree in Nursing, Diploma course in Nursing, Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse program. The student applicant must also be a certified member of the NBNA, Inc. or any of its’ local affiliates and has a minimum of one year left in the program.
The monetary value of the scholarship is 2,000 US dollars and the deadline for the submission of applications is on the 15 of April. The student applicant must be a member of the African-American community.
