The Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) is highly active in offering programs that give financial aid to students so they may be encouraged and inspired to continue their education and achieve their dreams in their chosen profession. Among the programs that the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) maintains is the Karen Quill Scholarship whose goal is to offer assistance and support to the students of Vermont who are both in the undergraduate as well as the graduate level.
Part of the qualification for Karen Quill Scholarship is that the candidate is required to have attended a Vermont post- secondary institution and that he or she must pursue a degree in nursing. Also among the requirements that the hopeful candidate needs to possess is that he or she must be involved in a community service.
The Karen Quill Scholarship is awarded by the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation. Recipients can expect to receive the amount of up to $1,000 as scholarship award. The awards for this scholarship program is given every year and is non- renewable. Vermont students who are taking up a degree in nursing may access the application from the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation website, and may be completed either through paper form or online.
In order for the application to be valid, the candidate needs to complete and submit the VSAC Unified Scholarship Application, and at the same time submit all the other necessary documents such as two letters of recommendation where one comes from a non- relative and the other one must be related to the candidate’s participation in community service. An essay is also required.
