The James G. Pulos Memorial Scholarship was founded to offer financial support to the students who are having financial concerns that hinders them from continuing their education. This scholarship program is open to both the undergraduate as well as the graduate full time student who is participating in the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association or of Greek heritage. As in any other scholarship program, the James G. Pulos Memorial Scholarship has its own set of requirements as well that the potential candidate needs to fulfill in order to qualify.
One the qualifications that needs to be met is that the candidate must be pursuing any of the following program such as engineering, medical studies or nursing, and at that he or she must be a resident of Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts or Washington DC.
The James G. Pulos Memorial Scholarship is awarded by American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association, and the amount of award that it provides its students is between $500 and $2,000 that is non- renewable. This scholarship program chooses its recipients every year. Apart from the completed application, there are other supporting documents that the candidate needs to submit as well as such as transcript of record, SAT/ ACT score as well as an essay that must have a maximum of 500 words regarding the topic listed. Aside from these, two letters of recommendation are also required as well as 1 wallet sized photo that will not be returned to the candidate.
