Native American Indians and/or Native Alaskan Indians who are enrolled in tribal type of school for college can apply for the Hershey Company Tribal Scholarship. These students must be able to show a Grade Point Average of at least 3.0 or higher and must be taking up a major course in line with the following; business, engineering, science or mathematics.
The deadline for the submission of application has already passed but there is a chance that you might be awarded with this scholarship for next school year. There is a lot of similarity between scholarship givers. In the near future, this grant will be re-evaluated. For more information for next year’s awarding, check with the website at a later time.
This scholarship award is being given out by the American Indian College Fund and has a monetary value of 1,250 US dollars. This scholarship fund is not automatically renewable.
The amount of awardees and grantees differ every year depending on how much fund is available compared to the number of eligible student applicants.
Application forms are found at the website of the American Indian College Fund. These application forms can be submitted starting from the 1st of January. With a number of awards granted, a student applicant is only allowed to pass one application form. The student applicant must also submit these supporting documents; a picture of the applicant, the latest scholastic grades, proof of descendancy enrollment in the American Indian or Alaskan Indian heritage, financial incapacity reports, and schedule of classes in the fall. Essays must be written in word format and must be spell checked before submission. All these must be submitted on or before the deadline.
