The Helen Hall and John Seely Memorial Scholarship was organized by the Oregon Student Access Commission with an objective to provide financial support to the students who are pursuing a degree in the medical, nursing or other health related field, and lack the financial means to finish their studies.
In order to qualify for the Helen Hall and John Seely Memorial Scholarship, aside from being presently enrolled in a medical, nursing or other health related field, the candidate must be a student in a college or university in the state of Oregon. The priority for this scholarship program are those who have graduated from the high schools within Douglas County in Oregon. Another requirement is that the applicant must be a resident of Oregon.
The length of the Helen Hall and John Seely Memorial Scholarship is good for 1 year and they provide up to $1,000 of financial assistance. There is a deadline set for filing an application, so the students who are qualified may submit their intent by March 1 or even before its actual deadline.
