Health Resources and Services Administration’s Native Hawaiian Health Scholarship Program

The Health Resources and Services Administration’s Native Hawaiian Health Scholarship Program was established to give financial aid to the Native Hawaiians who are studying any health profession. This scholarship program was created in order to encourage the residents of Hawaii to go into the medical field so they can provide health care assistance to the Native Hawaiians who are living in Hawaii.

This specific scholarship program has some very particular requirements that potential candidates need to fulfill so they can qualify to make an application. First is that, the applicant must be a Native Hawaiian who is a resident of Hawaii, and another requirement is that he or she must be currently enrolled as a full time student in a recognized school under any medical field. It is also noted that candidates must not have any contradictory service obligations, and that he or she must also not have any national judgment charges.

Once the recipient has completed his or her education, he is then required to provide service for at least two years. Any Native Hawaiian who possesses the necessary qualifications may file their application for the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Native Hawaiian Health Scholarship Program before or on the day of its actual deadline which is on July 1.

This scholarship grant is definitely great news to the Native residents of Hawaii as they are given the chance to finish their education in the medical field and move forward to provide health care assistance to their fellow Hawaiians.
