There are several types of scholarship programs available in every part of the world. Some are offered by private institutions while others are offered by the government. Each of these scholarship grants have different requirements and have specific conditions as well. Some grants are exclusive to certain groups of ethnicity, while others are open to only a specific gender, but certainly there are many scholarship programs that are simply open to anyone who is most qualified.
One scholarship grant that provides financial assistance to health practitioners such as family nurse, midwives and other health professionals as well as to students who are taking the same field is the Health Resources and Services Administration’s National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program. This particular program requires its recipients to give primary health care services in some underserved areas of the United States.
The Health Resources and Services Administration’s National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program obliges its recipients to make a commitment to provide health care service for each year that they got financial support. Two years is the minimum number of years that they are required to fulfill a service, and four years is the maximum.
Those who are interested to make an application, and those who are well qualified to make one may freely turn in their application on or before its set deadline which is on July 1. What is great about this scholarship program is that it is not only open to students, but instead to health professionals as well.
