Mary Brunell, Ed.D., Registered Nurse, funded and founded the Mary Brunell Scholarship Fund inside the Rhode Island College Foundation. The focus of the scholarship fund is to aid nursing students in their pursuit as a geontological nurse.
While she was serving as the VP for Patient Services in the Roger Williams Medical Center, Brunell had a connection with the Rhode Island College Nursing Department. The main reason why she came up with the scholarship fund is because of her strong attraction to gerontological nursing.
