The Georgia Nurses Association and Foundation was established to answer the financial needs of the students with financial difficulties which makes it difficult for them to continue their education and pursue their chosen field. This scholarship program provides two scholarship opportunities namely Katherine Pope and Annie Lou Overton which then gives more chances to a lot of students.
For the student to qualify for the Georgia Nurses Association and Foundation, he or she must achieve all the necessary requirements that are set by this scholarship grant. One of the qualifications that the possible applicant needs to have is a grade point average that is no less than 2.5, and that he or she must be enrolled in an accredited school as a part time or full time student.
The Georgia Nurses Association and Foundation is open to the students who are both in the undergraduate or graduate level. Two recipients are selected by this scholarship program each year. The funds for this scholarship grant are generated through the tax deductible contributions of the nurses as well as the individuals who greatly support the field of nursing. Each recipient gets the amount of $500, and the applications for the Georgia Nurses Association and Foundation will be made available on the fall of 2014, while the awarding of scholarships will take place on the fall of 2015.
Potential candidates who would like to take part of this great opportunity must submit the completed application along with all the other necessary documents on or before the deadline set by this program.
