Gannet Healthcare Group Scholarship

Usually, the sponsors behind scholarships are institutions, foundations or individuals that have missions and visions of promoting the advancement of society using their professions. For example, the National Black Nurses Association has various programs that are designed to provide assistance to every NBNA members on their personal and career growth as they seek to give competent health care services in the communities they belong.

NBNA is fully committed to provide excellent assistance to their members with their education throughout the year. The association gives annual scholarships for deserving students to continue and complete their degree program in nursing and allied health professions. The funding for scholarships provides financial assistance for continuing education enabling professional and registered nurses to grow, advance and better contribute their knowledge and skills to the health and health care aspect of the communities.

The requirements for this scholarship program includes being a member of NBNA, must beĀ enrolled currently in any nursing programĀ on full-time basis (this can be diploma, AD, BSN or LVN/LPN). It is also necessary for the applicants to have good scholastic standing at the time of their scholarship application. The application packet for the scholarship application can be downloaded from the NBNA website. Submission of application can be accomplished online by sending an email to Ms. Estella A. Lazenby, CMP using her email address of elazenby@nbna.org. Applicants must take note that the scholarship application submitted via mail will not be accepted.
