If you desire to take specialized program about nursing, check out the Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association/FNSNA. They offer the Specialty Scholarships. This scholarship is opened to nursing students who are enrolled on a full-time basis on an accredited nursing institution/school and pursuing specialized nursing programs. The criteria for the selection of students includes financial need, academic achievement and the participation in nursing student organizations as well as the community activities that are related to health care. Some sponsors may require other documents aside from the ones stated.
Applications packet and instruction on the scholarship application are found on the NSNA website. The form can be downloaded online. For this particular scholarship, the recipient can receive financial assistance ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 and the deadline for submission of application is on the 13th of January every year. Additionally, graduating high school senior students are not eligible to apply. Applicants are encouraged to submit their application way ahead of the deadline to avoid any hassles and stress when it comes to the processing part of the application.
