The Edwina Foye Award for Outstanding Graduate Student is a scholarship grant that was created to recognize the commitment and service of Edwina Foye, who was a Registered Nurse and served at the Portsmouth Hospital for 25 years. From 1952 until 1978, Edwina Foye remained passionate with her vocation that is why her family, along with her colleagues and friends established the Edwina Foye Award for Outstanding Graduate Student in 1985. This was created by the Foundation for Seacoast Health.
This scholarship award is given every year during the Foundation’s yearly meeting that is held in the month of April. The Edwina Foye Award for Outstanding Graduate Student is awarded to a graduate student who must be a resident of Maine, and must be residing in one of the nine towns within the Foundation area.
The amount of the scholarship grant that this program awards to its fortunate recipient is $5,000 and those who are qualified to make an application and who wishes to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity must be able to submit their application before its given deadline which is set on February 1.
To be chosen in any type of a scholarship grant is truly something that one must be proud of because these scholarship programs definitely sifts the candidates and simply choose the best among the best.
