The National Black Nurses Association, Inc. has established a successful scholarship program that would help nursing students who are experiencing some financial difficulties. The name of the scholarship is the Dr. Hilda Richards Scholarship. There are a few requirements that each applicant must fulfill. The first is that he or she must be presently taking up his or her nursing degree. The second requirement is that he or she must have good grades to show at the time of application. The third is that applicants must be active members of the National Black Nurses Association and must have, at the very least one year left in nursing school. Applicants must also be of African-American heritage and must be enlisted or is planning to enroll either full-time or part-time in either a two or four year nursing course.
The total amount of the scholarship grant is two-thousand U.S. dollars. The deadline for the submission of application forms falls on the 15th of April.
