The DAISY Foundation has successfully established a scholarship fund that is aimed at helping nursing students who are experiencing financial difficulties at the moment. The name of the scholarship is The DAISY Honoree Scholarship. This is a scholarship award granted to a nursing student who has won The DAISY Award. DAISY stands for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. There are some requirements that a contestant must fulfill. These participants must be currently taking up the Chamberlain College of Nursing post licensure course. Second requirement is that the applicant must have received The DAISY Award from their respective employers and through The DAISY Foundation. These nurses are granted the DAISY Award after getting nominated by patients and their families for their utmost contributions in caring for them while they were in the hospital or any health care facility.
The deadline for the submission of applications is at least two weeks before the start of class.
There are no requirements that pertain to ethnic background. There is also no requirement when it comes to the gender of applicants.
