The Sinclair School of Nursing has established a scholarship grant that is aimed at helping nursing students who are in need of financial aid as they are experiencing financial difficulties. The name of the scholarship fund is The Cynthia Fischer Russell, PhD, RN Scholarship Fund. Nursing students who are presently enrolled can apply for this scholarship award.
It is named after Cynthia Russell, PhD, RN whose medical research has mainly focused on dialysis and on older patients kidney transplant care. She continuously spearheads the care for adult kidney transplant. Her research study regarding nurses’ involvement was tried in the field of patients waiting for their kidney transplant procedure. This was tried using a random trial setting. She also has studies in the similar ways giving medication.
The total sum of the scholarship varies. The length of the tenure of the scholarship grant varies as well.
