A great opportunity awaits the Filipinos who are residing in Hawaii because of a program called Cora Aguda Manayan Scholarship Fund whose objective is to offer financial assistance to the students who are both in the undergraduate as well as the graduate level.
The Cora Aguda Manayan Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial support to the Filipino students who are pursuing any health related field. Like any other scholarship programs, this scholarship grant has its own set of specific requirements and specifications as well. Among its qualifications is that the hopeful candidate is required to have a grade point average of no less than 2.7.
The Cora Aguda Manayan Scholarship Fund is awarded by Hawaii Community Foundation and the amount of financial aid that this scholarship program extends to its recipients is worth $1,000 and chooses its recipients every year. The scholarship award for this program is non- renewable, but current recipients are may apply again in the succeeding year.
Apart from the completed application, Cora Aguda Manayan Scholarship Fund also requires other requirements to be submitted as well such as a personal statement that provides answers to the questions found in the website. The personal statement must be typed and double spaced and must have a minimum of two pages and a maximum of three pages. The candidate’s transcript of records as well as a copy of the Student Aid Report (SAR) are also required by Cora Aguda Manayan Scholarship Fund. But before the candidate can start with the application, he or she must first submit a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
