The Christine Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program was specifically created for the US students who are graduate or post- doctoral scholars who have finished their graduate studies or their post- doctoral research in any of the following interdisciplinary areas of study such as social or behavioral science, medical or health discipline, physical or biological science, any field of engineering, law, business or public administration within the period of 5 years.
This scholarship program gives an amount of $8,240 worth of financial assistance to its recipients. This monetary support is given as an allowance for the session of 12 weeks to compensate for the expenses incurred by the recipient. The Christine Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program is given every year and is non- renewable.
The number of recipients selected each year varies. For the graduate or post scholars who are qualified to apply for this fellowship program may get the application from the National Academies website. To start with the application process, the candidate is required to register his or her email, then along with the completed application, he or she is required as well to submit a 500 word essay about the topics found on the application.
Aside from the already mentioned requirements, candidates also need to submit two online reference forms, and the deadline for the submission of references is on April 27. It is also necessary for the candidate to state whether he or she is applying for the winter or the spring season. For those applying for the spring, applications must be submitted by September 1, while fall applicants must submit by May 1.
