The Children’s National Medical Center has partnered with AfterCollege in successfully putting up a scholarship grant aimed at nursing students who are experiencing financial difficulties. The medical center is the sole source of children nursing care in the Nation’s Capital as well as nearby areas like Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Norfolk, Virginia and Atlanta, Georgia. The medical center has sole focus on pediatric nursing in its historic one-hundred and thirty-years of existence. The medical center has a long standing regarding leadership and management in this field of nursing. They are also focused on the research of new treatments of pediatric diseases.
There are certain requirements that interested applicants must satisfy. First is that the nursing student must be in pursuit of his or her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has a special focus on making a career in pediatric nursing. The second requirement is that he or she must be able to maintain a Grade Point Average of 3.0 or more.
