The Hawaii Community Foundation has successfully established a scholarship aimed at giving financial help to those nursing students who are in the middle of pursuing their course, students who are very active in community work, secondary school students who have the desire to continue study but are experiencing financial needs or former secondary school students who have played in the soccer varsity team of the King Kekaulike High School. The scholarship grant is called the Celeste Hayo Memorial Scholarship Fund. All of these applicants must be at least a high school graduate of the said school. And all of these must be in some sort of financial crisis which gives them the reason to apply for a scholarship. The requirement for all applicants is that an applicant must be residing in the state of Hawaii and must have be an established resident of the state of Hawaii. The applicant must have a Grade point average of at least 2.9 or better.
The deadline for the submission of application for the Celeste Hayo Memorial Scholarship Fund is on the 17th of February.
