The Albuquerque Community Foundation provides the scholarship award for the Barnes W. Rose, Jr and Eva Rose Nickol Scholarship Fund. This scholarship program was established to offer financial support to the senior high school students who are graduating from Albuquerque High School in New Mexico.
In order to be eligible for the Barnes W. Rose, Jr and Eva Rose Nickol Scholarship Fund, the hopeful candidate is required to have a grade point average of at least 3.6, and that he or she must intend to enroll in a STEM major. The applicant must also exhibit the need for a financial aid.
The amount that this scholarship grant provides is worth $700 that is given every year and is non- renewable. Only one recipient is chosen each year. Senior high school students who are qualified to make an application for the Barnes W. Rose, Jr and Eva Rose Nickol Scholarship Fund may access the application from the Albuquerque Community Foundation website.
More than the completed application form, the candidate is also required to submit other supporting documents to this scholarship grant. Among the requirements needed are the candidate’s high school transcript, SAT/ ACT scores, resume with a maximum of three pages, a personal essay that answers the topics found in the application, and one reference from either a Math or Science teacher of the applicant.
All applications together with the necessary supporting documents must be submitted on or before the deadline set by Barnes W. Rose, Jr and Eva Rose Nickol Scholarship Fund.
