The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses or AORN has established a scholarship fund that is aimed to financially aid Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates and those still currently studying but are members of The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) who are interested in the pursuit of a higher level education regarding Perioperative nursing. This scholarship grant is called The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Foundation Baccalaureate Degree Scholarship.
Perioperative Nursing is a branch of nursing that deals with the treatment and care of patients who have undergone invasive operational procedures. The nurses in this field of nursing all work closely together with surgery technologists, surgeons, nursing anesthetists, and nursing aid givers.
The only requirement that needs to be satisfied is that applicants must be current members of The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN). And that they have a Grade Point Average of at least 3.0.
The last day for submission of application is on the 15th of June.
