The APIASF in partnership with the United Health Foundation Asian Health Scholarship is a program that is open for the graduate students of nursing who have Asian or Pacific Islander ethnicities. The APIASF/ United Health Foundation Asian Health Scholarship was established to offer financial assistance to those with Asian or Pacific Islander ethnicities and are planning to further study in a profession in the health field.
As in any other scholarship programs, this particular scholarship grant has set some specific criteria that the potential applicant needs to fulfill in order to be qualified to apply for the APIASF/ United Health Foundation Asian Health Scholarship. One of the requirements is that the student needs to have a residency, and that he or she is required to study in either a college or university within the area of United Health Foundation within the 50 states of the US.
Some other requirements that the student needs to fulfill are fluency in his or her Asian or Pacific Islander language, and that he or she is required to be a citizen of the United States or a national or legal permanent resident of the United States, or a citizen of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau. Aside from these, the hopeful candidate also needs to maintain a grade point average of a minimum of 2.7.
All those who are eligible to apply for a scholarship for this program must complete the application form and be ready with the supporting documents on or before its deadline which is on January 13. Scholarship award is worth $2,500.
