The Connecticut Community Foundation awards the scholarship for Anita C. Behan Scholarship Fund which was established to give financial assistance to the high school seniors who are citizens of the United States. Part of the qualification for this scholarship program is that the students must be residents of Waterbury, Connecticut, and that he or she must major in a health related program.
Anita C. Behan Scholarship Fund provides the amount of $1,000 up to $2,000 worth of financial assistance. This award is non- renewable and recipients are allowed to reapply every year provided that he or she is able to maintain a grade point average with a minimum of C+, and he or she must also continue to sustain the criteria required by this scholarship program.
The awards given by this scholarship grant varies each year and this program is constantly updated that is why it is recommended that interested applicants must check the Connecticut Community Foundation website from time to time to get the latest updates on the program. Other documents are required by this program as well such as transcript of records, a listing of the candidate’s work experience as well as the school, individual or community activities where the candidate has been involved in.
