This scholarship program has been instituted by the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses or simply called ASPAN. The syllabus for this program is intended to further enhance the knowledge of nurses in caring for patients who are undergoing ambulatory or non-bedridden medical procedures, after application of anesthesia, before application of anesthesia and pain supervision.
The requirements for this type of scholarship is that the applicant must be an active member of the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses for a minimum of two years on or before the deadline of applications and they must be licensed Registered Nurses. The applicant must also have a Grade point Average of 3.0.
The award granted for the whole course ranges from as little as two-hundred and eighty-five U.S. dollars to a high as two-thousand five-hundred U.S. dollars. The course takes one year to finish. The deadline for for application is on the 1st of July.
