For students looking for financial support that will find their college tuition, check out American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees/AFSCME. The organization offers AFSCME Family Scholarship Program every year. The award will grant ten scholarships to deserving high school seniors and will pursue a college degree. Recipients will receive total of $2,000 of assistance every year and can be renewed for four years max with the same amount. Students must be enrolled in a full-time basis. The eligibility for this scholarship aside from a graduating high school senior is that his/her parent or legal guardian who is a member and full dues-paying AFSCME, be enrolled to a degree program on full-time basis at the time or scholarship awarding and have taken the ACT or SAT.
